    Hi all,
I'm looking to purchase a stand-alone Nesting Program, DXF input file format, output G- Code and ESSI.

It's mainly for small yacht projects, producing plywood plates (router) some with beveled edges for deck and interior furniture ( I don't want to spend and arm and a leg), has anyone any suggestions ?

    ROO-

    (1) What type of software are your drawing in?

    (2) What type of router are you using?

I draw in Rhino, so I use Rhino Nest. Great software. Relatively inexpensive. Transfers well to most router and plasma cutter softwares. But it works inside of Rhino.

    Regards

I use cambam (http://www.cambam.co.uk/). I think there is a free version and the commercial version.
I'm planning to test cut3D, that seams interesting.

Thanks for you replies fellers, I use Delftship Pro, which I'm happy with, I bought Rhino for the flamingo and nesting extensions but couldn't wrap my head around Rhino which was a pity because its reasonable priced.
Yep $5000 for ArtCam is out of my reach to Gary, have you guys heard of
SigmaNest Lite, anyone got an idea of its price ?

    Design_1,
I use Rhino 4 for most of my drawing; I’ll have a look at Rhino Nest.
    Thank you.

Check out the student version of Rhino Nest there are no restrictions with any of the student versions, it cost a couple of hundred from memory.

    Duluth-
I draw in Rhino 4 as well. We used Rhino Nest when I worked in Tugs and OSVs. It worked well for us. It does get confused when you have a few parts closed to the sheet size you are nesting on though. Other than that, I would recommend it to anyone.

    Hello farjoe,
I was incorrect. Maybe, CamBam don’t have the nest functionality. I use it for simple shape that I organize by hand. However there is a forum related to that software, you can ask there for more information.

    Thanks Zeroname,
I was looking at it today but didn't know if you needed AutoCad to run it. I'm evalutaing RhinoNest at the moment then after that I have Optimik then Plus 2D. But most don't do panelling, that is spreading a large part out over several sheets of plywood. I'll have a look at it can't do any harm.
    Thanks again
