This is my first post to the forum. I've been reading the posts for the past few days and figured I could contribute to the group. Looking forward to posting...

I am very new to all of this and trying to gain some knowledge. I remember my Father used to build small fishing boats but I never got the opportunity to learn from him.

Well, you're in the right place! Just don't listen to that retread sailor Safewalrus. :p

Why not start by asking some specific questions - millions will pitch in to help....

Yeah - as Trev said there's many here who will help as much as we can, mind you down here in the dungeon we do have a strange sense of humour, but if you can handle it we'll tell it like it is -no frills............So when you going to start -make all the mistakes you want -we've all been there. Oh and don't worry to much about some of the strange mutterings we actually like each other, mostly

hmilesjr, IANSON1, welcome to both of you - hope you find what you seek.... Jeees Safie, that protocol never stopped you from "spattering" all over the place hehehe......

Ian, ignor that old walrus, he is in a gruff sort of way quite a friendly old beast - (we are sort of troglodites - mainly reside in the dungeons) 'cause we are temporarily boatless........
