    Cameras for visibility

    Pericles,

Since, the bulwark at the bow was lovered by half, there is enough visibility in front of the Vessel now.

"REV 2.0" plans of are not finished yet. Thanks for your contribution.

    Regards
    Eric.

Previous Vessel was a multi chine (2).
This one is much simpler : there is only one chine.
There is only a "Bottom plate" and the "Top side".
Perhaps more amateur builders will comment with their experience.
In particular, "how to weld the unique chine" without distorsion.

    Regards.
    Eric.

    Eric,
Noticed your interesting posts here. Perhaps my reply belongs in "grumpy old bathplug raves", but, do you have a clue as to what you are doing? It seems you are changing things on the fly, based on opinions of others who you don't even know. (Your double decker kills me). You mention you are not a naval architect, but are offering plans to others for free (as long as they will put up with this interminable drivel). Doesn't make sense to me. Why don't you just educate yourself in the field of naval architecture and THEN put some plans out there?

As shown in the following screenshot, the curves for the "Single Chine" are faired as much as possible.

    img25.jpg

There is still some room to go below "Point Count=6" and "Degree=4".
But, we will keep them "as is" an not try to reduce.

Because, even if these lines are used to create the "Frames", they are not used at all for developping the surfaces later on.

There is a more secure and precise way to produce surfaces using the "UnrollSurfaces" command of Rhino without using this "faired lines"..

Which "Double Deck" are you mentioning. There is two quite different models.

    Catia

It's not free plans, it's 100 USD for "plans" by an amateur who asked for help here.

Nothing but the advise he needed was supposed to be free.

Remove this thread. No need to give this guy free PR.

Are you sure there is ne free plans?

    Hello Morro,

I am afraid, you did not carefully read the "thread".
If you follow since the beginning there is a "zipped file" which contains full set of plans.

Also, there is an Internet site outside of this "thread" where plans are not free of charge.

    You should not confuse both.

Anyway, I don't mind if you (or someone else) remove this thread.
Because, since I put these plans for free, I did get only very bad and very negative reactions from some people on my mailbox (insults).
(I was expecting a collaborative work).

Sorry, I have my own vessel, some friend shipyards where we build yachts up to 30m (and more) and some quite attractive projects.
Also, I am studying in a Institute for Naval Architecture. But, this is another story.

I am not expecting anything from amateurs of your kind.

    Have a nice day.
