Does anyone know how to convert a 14 ft canoe into a small sailboat. Also, I was thinking that a canoe with an outrigger (or two) could handle more sail.

    Frogman from the mountains.

Is this an open canoe or a Kayak? Lots of people have done Open canoes. There is an American association (ACA?) which has a one design lateen rig. Or look at www.ocsg.org.uk which is a UK group with a slightly different approach.
There are some articles in the West Epoxy newsletter of about a year ago also.
There is a superbly illustrated American book by a sailmaker 'Sailing rigs for open canoes' or something like that.
    Hope that is of use.

Thanks for the info. I also came across a saliboatstogo.com which also has a complete set up for sale [no pun].
