Mast advice needed pls

    Hi Landlubber, thank you !

    I do have a sail plan, centre of sail force, daggerboards and everything is roughly in place. By roughly I mean the fine details are not there yet. I can only do them when I know what I have on hand and where everything sits... like the cleats, winches etc.

    But lets hang on a bit - I first want to see the mast. If it's too short or flimsy I won't use it... be kind of rediculous.

    What we are trying to tell you is that until the design is farther along and you have done some calculations, you won't know if the mast is too flimsy or not. Is the whole design a series of 'this looks about right so I'll use it' items?
