    Hi Maybeoneday!

    What are the criteria

    - type of boat (monohull / multihull)
    - will it fit in a 40' container
    - port of loading
    - port of unloading
    - time of shipping?

I looked at shipping a multihull from the Caribbean to Cape Town, was about $3000 excluding unloading costs.

    Regards from sunny Cape Town

    Hi Multihullsailer

Thanks for reply.Im looking at a monohull of around 30 foot so im sure it would fit in a container, not sure about the mast though.I have not purchased a boat yet as im looking into different options.I suppose Cape Town would be the closest port from USA.The price they charged you did it include import duties and if not do you have an idea how they structure those prices.

    Thanks
