I like that approach by a designer. Being conservative to avoid ugly surprises is a very good thing. :)

    Well,
I´ll do some more research around marinas, and forums... + I´ll attach in the next days some drawings and dimensions of what I figured out, so you guys can give me your opinion.

    Best regards,

    sketch chine&strakes

Well here is what I figured out regarding chines and strakes size. Dimensions are in mm.
The chines will run from stern to bow. The strakes closer to the chines will run from bow to begining of 2nd step, and the strakes closer to the keel, will run from bow to the begining of 1st step.
Does anyone have another idea? Should this work nicely?

    Thank´s,

    Nojjan All thumbs...

I really have to insist that if anyone says "that is perfect" they don't know what they are talking about. I am sure there are some "rule of thumb" or some research on this that I have not seen yet but I still think that for such a big and probably expensive boat you should test it. There is no institution in the world that can predict or design a boat better than someone who is willing to do systematic testing. Your drawing looks fine and I think you have a good point from where to continue with testing.

    BR / N

Ps. you dimensions are weight looks very similar to the D Gerr designed HM Pope III.
