I'm almost finished with the boat I am building! It is a 18' lake skiff and I have documented every step from beginning to now on my web site at
    http://www.jkwoodstudio.com/boat/bindex.php
I have just a few small things to do before I have the motor installed. I will be putting a Yamaha four stroke 60 on it. I am really looking forward to getting it in the water!

The boat loks great, but the web site ...

It's a pain in the *** to scroll left and right in order to see three columns of pictures. If you redo the layout to show only two columns of pictures across the page, the sideways scrolling won't be necessary any more ... and that's a "good thing".

    :)

I have been thinking about reformatting the pages so that people that are sight or monitor challenged :D can navigate easier. Thanks for the comments.

I agree with Kengrome. Great boat; you're doing very good work. Following the format of the first page, however, with its 2 wide photo arrangement makes it a lot easier for the viewer to navigate your many detailed photos.

You're asking for donations, so you want to keep the viewers happy! :D

Funny you mention donations! I've gotten 1 in a years time. Do you think I'll get more if I reformat?:D

    Hey GymBob,

Great post! I really like the lake skiffs that are built at the Lake Ponchartrain Basin Maritime Museum. I live in Lafayette and try to make it to the Madisonville Wooden Boat Festival every year. I hope to have my newest boat completed this summer and all the kinks worked out for the festival. I just turned it over and put it on the trailer this past weekend. I still have a lot of work to do, but it should be complete by festival time in October. Hope to see you there!

I reformatted the site to 2 columns. I hope it is easier for you to navigate now.

Thanks, Your boat looks great. I will look for it at the festival. BTW I am responsible for the MWBF website. If you send me a couple of pictures when you finish your boat, I might be able to incorporate them in this years website.
