ok,if you have an idea of what your future boat will be, you can try to design a hull on a paper, the quick estimate of the displacement, check that you can fit (in this hull + superstrucures all accomodations) you need and now you can try to create a hull with a softaware like (Nautilus probasic), I use it. Then You need a 2D (autocad, turbocad) program in which you can import the hull you created (dxf format) to do all drawings you want in each of the three views, and then If you want to have a good idea of what the hull + superstucture will look like you need a 3d Software ( Rhino ) to start giving life to your superstrure. From Hull Software you can export set of lines in dxf towards autocad and 3d model in igs towards rhino. You can draw a line in autocad and export it in your work in rhino. you can do much things.

Captain John, you need an education, which will teach you how to use tools such as different forms of software. More importantly, the education will provide you an understanding of the concepts and principles involved. Software can't design a boat for you. You must manipulate the tools you have, including software, to design a yacht. There are several courses available including a few correspondence types.
