Just noticed your picture Katchi. Are you partial to prison food?

The picture is of school girls in their religious uniforms. Probably going to school.

They don't always dress like that.

Looked like a job lot of sheets had arrived to me! the Local School would explain it! I thought white out in your part of the world had a slightly different meaning than purity Frosty - but maybe that's just the Chinese?! (or are they trying to tell us something?)

    Barge?

If it was good enough for Noah ...

I'm going with a big sloop. Really big. Monohull with sails by Andy Halsey. I prefer American (made in the USA) sails if it's all going to end. An old Volvo diesel would be my iron jib.

They are very young now that I look at their faces. Still in that part of the world they might be considered old maids.:D

I still think that this is the best Idea that I submitted a year ago.

I would probably get 4 of those dumb barges that shift sand down the Malacca straights to Singapore, These are about the size of a tennis court. Strap them together and fill one with sand as a beach. I would need a fork lift truck to handle the beer supplies and I would still take some friends from the strip club,---no wait I would take the whole strip club and stand it on the one of barges. We could then -- me and the girls-- build another building and use this for --ohh say --a bar. this would mean then that I would be on holiday for the rest of my life. Not forgeting of course some deck chairs and tables,--Oh and some glasses with little umbrella type twiddling sticks for the girls gin and tonics. I might also ,if I have time during loading take a few gallons of fuel with me in case I bump into one of you guys with and engine.
Maybe we could trade, you know swop stuff, But I probably wouldnt have anything you wanted, there would just be me and the girls and 50 tons of beer.

Some food might be nice (not for you Frosty - you obviously don't need it) the girls need to eat to keep their strength up so they can open your beer cans for you! Well what else would they be doing??

What recycle energy can we juice on board? Does it occur to anybody to have a radio fix into the vessel just in case a land surviver can give direction to a higher safe ground? :)

I would prefer a boat with a good crow nest and antenna option anyday

Can see your point there Westy, high observation point and aerial point would be very handy for a couple of reasons (not all of 'em nice)

Hell, give me a small rowing boat, some small fishing nets, and an axe, and I'll be fine.

Oh, and - very important - a fire piston.

Yup, fire pistons are cool. I once made one out of plexiglass. I want one in walnut, buffalo horn or something else really nice, though - palisander, perhaps.
