If they stayed in the kitchen where they belong, perhaps they would get more done!

    George,

The X wing "shoot down" is pretty funny, and a lot more entertaining than the original "we guessed wrong on the wing root strength" video of the launch and breakup.

The flutter wind generator concept is fantastic! Great innovative thinking. Inherently safer than a wind turbine, easy to repair, etc. The ability to bring power generation to regions steeped in poverty alone makes it a great invention. Other applications come to mind as well, including small boat power (great for sailing in storm conditions, when solar power is not available), hiking, mountain climbing, research in remote locations, etc.

    Great stuff!

There was a Canadian stereo loudspeaker which worked in the reverse of this...........kind of a strained connection here, but I have to post a picture, right?

They were great speakers, not much in the upper frequencies though and hard to place in the room acoustically.

    George,

Just wondering, is there any data on the performance of aircushion craft in heavy seas? The searider looks like it would revert to displacement catamaran mode in rough weather, but I've never seen any discussions or reports on the subject.

I think you are right, a top heavy raft prone to tipping over and with the skirt system providing lots of surface area for drag resulting in no directional control.

I have several "wacky ideas" for resolving this, although none of the ideas are wackier than a hovercraft its self.:D
