So the spider moves - at last - can't see anything shattering there then (other than an extreme waste of money, bet it wasn't the designers!)

Yea, but must be a nice view from up there - is it a cabin, or is it a crows nest?

    Still, have to ask, Why?

Good question always. Here are some reasons from the designer:

" * It's categorized as a "Wave Adaptive Modular Vessel" (WAM-V) with flexible hulls: "The hulls of a WAM-V™ conform to the surface of the water. A WAM-V does not push, slap or pierce the waves. She utilizes flexibility to adapt her structure and shape to the water surface. Instead of forcing the water to conform to the hull, she gives and adjusts; she “dances” with the waves."

    * It relies on an entirely modular design, so that payloads and components and even engines can be switched around for different purposes, from luxury cruising to coast guard rescue. The company lists the following applications: "luxury cabin for two; simple cruising accommodations for up to six passengers; twelve passenger transport; scuba diving platform; lab for collection and on site analysis of specimen; oceanographic equipment deployer; emergency response unit; surveillance station."

    Burning the Asian Way...

Yeah... It was hot as flame torch our face but communication was even hotter as we organized the fire fighter and ground force to eliminate the brute flame that razed 150+ home ... it was the slump home to fishermen that lived in the town area... last of its kind, hopefully.:)
