I decided to set this motor up to run occasionally on the stand since the boat repair is taking forever. I tried to start it and it fired right off for and instant then quit and now wont start. I do have spark thats as far as I got.
Does the remote oil tank have a pump in it to push oil to the motor res? I do not hear any pumps running at all with the key on. There is a schrader valve on an aluminum box on the motor that looks like a test point to me, is this possibly a fuel pressure test point? I have no pressure there at all sitting or while it is cranking. Thanks, Kevin

OK, I was able to free up the gummed up injector pump with some Formbys furniture refinisher and Gumout and get it running. I am now concerned that it is getting oil.
Is there a way to test if it is injecting as much oil as it should?
Can I mix oil in the fuel at the recomended rate to basically have twice as much oil as needed without messing anything up? (Injectors, anything else). I can deal with fouled plugs if that is all it will do to it.
I will run it weekly till I get it on the boat on the road and then take it by the local dealer.
