    Hello,

I study naval architecture at the technical university Hamburg-Harburg in Hamburg/Germany.

Part of the current semester is a presention with technical / maritime background. The title of my presentation is "surface-piercing propeller".

At the moment I'm searching the web for pictures which I can use in my presentation.

Does anyone of you have a nice picture, showing the combination of a surface-drive together with a waterjet?

The motoryacht "Destriero" and the "gentry transatlantic" aka "gentry eagle" have such a propulsion layout. But I wasn't able to find good pictures while asking google...

Hooping, that someone can help me!

Thank you very much in advance!

    Many greetings,
    Joern

    combination surface-drive/waterjet

Picture of open jet,one of many types and designs trying to take advantage of both surface drive (which a water jet is basically) and water jet features.

At first, thank you for your answers!

The application, you've mentioned is totally new to me, but very interesting!

I'm relatively sure, that the "gentry eagle" has seperated drives. A set of waterjets and a surface-drive installed.
Actually I'm looking for a picture of such an arrangement!

    Many greetings,
    Joern
