    Hello all,

I have designed a Submersible in a CAD program, I have no previous experience or formal Education in water bourne Design. I just had the idea and did it.

My question is for those that have Designed craft previously. Does publishing my design here help to protect my rights to that design ?

Or does that protection soley reside with the patent office ?

I am currently "cleaning up" my Design, and searching for model makers for a wind tunnel test.

Any suggestions or guidance is welcome.

    Thanks

To be perfectly honest Task, if you are a raw beginner, you have nothing to worry about. Significant patents in the boating design field are few and far between. Most designers just copyright their designs which takes little effort or expense.

    Curious

Just wondering why you want to test a submersible in a wind tunnel?
Wind loads can be calculated to a reasonable degree.
