Forgot to Winterize

    Stick to the original plan change oil and filter --give it a run and keep an eye on it.

    Jack knows his stuff. Just keep an eye on it.
    Just bear in mind, that picture in the corner of Jack's comment... that's not something he took off some website. His mom took that photo---- in 2006.
    To be fair, that's no diaper. It's training pants. There's a big difference.

    i took the head off and it looks like it was just the head gasket. But i have a couple more questions. Do i need to use a torque wrench to put the head back on? And where would be a good place to go to get all the gaskets that i need to replace after taking the engine apart?

    Yes you must torque head--- during assembly and usually again, according to the manufacturer's instructions. The factory always has information on torquing method and foot-pounds--- call the tech advisor.
    Parts for any engine are available online at better prices than your local marine dealer. Be ready with make, model, year, S.N., etc..
