I was just curious which classification society rule book to go by to design a midship section for aluminium hulls, a catamaran.

Hi,it depends on what class. society the builder will have the boat inspected and certified by.
That has to be identified before the boat building starts.

Have a look on Bureau Veritas, they give you the possibility to download free a program for monohull and catamaran for scantling.
You have only to register yourself.

    Ranchi Otto,

Do you have a link to the program for monohull and catamaran scantling on Bureau Veritas' website? I looked around on their website and could not find any information on the scantling program you mentioned. Thank you.

Is there a way to specify transverse framing to BV software

hey good software ranchi but that BV software doesnt have an option to change framing system.
It does all the calculations and strength assessment for longitudinal framing system though.
