id be more worried about those little irrokangi (spelling) jellyfish, those little ba5t4rds that are about the size of a fingernail, I saw an episode on them on the discovery channel... Im more scared of those things then sharks I think. Something like 3000 times as powerful venom as the portages man of war.

There is at least one good thing about Australia. You have a multitude of ways to die.

Irithingy jellyfish is of course one way but you could opt for the blueringed octupus but if your the type that likes a bit of blood and guts then you can't go past the crocodile with of course the shark as runner up at second place.

Steve Irwin of course demonstrated the sting ray exit but there is also the stone fish and the cone shell.

If you decide to stay on land we can offer you a range of snakes, red back and funnel web spiders.

I feel sorry for people that have come to Australia for a holiday and bought a return ticket.

Rambo in one of the movies uses a bow to shoot down a chopter. he has an explosive warhead on the arrow. Are there any instructions o the net how to make such a warhead.

Yeah you get a bleeding big arrow, tape a grenade to it, stick it in your bow, pull out the pin, pull back the string, aim and let fly!

Ok until your string breaks or the other guy sees you and shoots you with his gun!! Leave Dimbo and Fantasy Island where it belongs - in the movies!

What about catapults with burning oil just like the old times? Did they use that at sea?

Just a small 'technical' query here Westie - and I'm not trying to be funny...but I believe one of the main reasons the Henry 'whopped' the French at Agincourt was because the Welsh bowmen (standard bow) outranged the French (crossbow). Though there may have been improvements since then....
And it's a tale I love repeating but do you realise that 'offering the middle finger' as an insult stems from that battle ?
It seems that before the set-to the French threatened to cut off the middle finger (right hand) of all Welsh bowmen they captured (to ensure they'd never draw a bow again). Subsequently it became an insult to the French to show the middle finger still in place.

    Berg,

That story makes me want to utilize the old single digit more! :)

The regular bow has a higher rate of fire also.

I never used a crossbow but even though you can get more poundage the draw is usually shorter. So I am not sure if the xb's actually are much stronger than a high speed compound bow?

berg, the old recurves can not have the full poundage all the way through the draw - the compound bows have a rather flat force curve until the very end of the draw, where it drops off sharply to allow you to aim easier.
