    Hi,

I am considering re-powering a 30 foot racer/cruiser sailboat as part of a larger re-fit. Currently the boat has its original 1989 Yanmar 2GM20 which has been overhauled once. I would like to replace it with a more powerful 3YM30, but I am concerned about the impact of the difference in weight on the balance of the boat. (2GM20=114kg & 3YM30=123kg) Can anyone advise me on what impact, if any, this weight increase might have and how to compensate for it?

    Thanks,

    Brad
