The "you can float on air" sure dates me.

I remember those ads in comic books when I was a kid. Must have been 30+ years since I dreamed of flying around the house with one of those.

Same era as the "x-ray vision" goggles. I couldn't afford any of that stuff back then, but dreaming was inexpensive. Even if mom didn't kill me for stealing her vacuum cleaner motor to make a very dissapointing contraption, the 6 week shipping time was murder!

You are all grown up now, you can do anything you want to.

At least my mom said I could do what I wanted to when I grew up.

    I own a hovercraft now.:D

Some of those new stealth ships are just plain weird. You almost expect Darth Vader to be standing on the bridge.
That animation at the bottom... that's the EarthRace boat, is it not?
(on a semi-related note... could we try to post huge photos as attachments, not inline images, remembering that some of us have to live with small monitors? thanks!)

MIDFOIL is great; that levitation thing should really reduce drag, pretty good for rough seas, too!!:D

If the disk and foil fins are the only things in the water, then it would reduce drag, resistance and "wetted area", right?

It would also fall over. I think it is a hydrofoil assisted catamaran. Must be other wise the engines wouldnt touch the water.
