A Toy Shovel and a can of Golden Spray Paint...

The sun has burned down another day
There is so little to see
There is so little to say
    It was just another day
    Another day of throwing pies
Another day of the golden ********
    Sell it to the public
    And say good bye

    SailDesign Old Phart! Stay upwind..

I would assume (knowing Sean just a little from these pages) that his bosses sold someone a POS, for a vast price, and could care less that the poor schmuck paid far too much for something badly conceived at best.
    Just a guess.....

    Good Guess...

    Hello...

Steve - good guess but wrong and close...

I made a bad call on a 'new' computer and CAD software to support my new toy - a free HP350 C plotter given to me by a retired friend...

The computer sales man sold me down the river on this lot - and of course it is a rebuild with no warranty - I got suckered again with a shovel full of golden ******** - you gotta love sales men - I know the world needs them but buyer beware...

As far as work goes - I work in a custom shop surrounded by a very busy marina - some days are better than others but you can say that about any job - you certainly have to make physical and mental adjustments moving from a production shop environment into a fully custom large boat shop...

On any given day though I would not trade in any amount of frustration for boredom...

    YUP...

Some people believe their own ********. They make good salesmen.
I get shafted by 'em too!
Usually, when the other half is riding me for a decision.
Due diligence goes out the door.

Hehheh! Swimbo just bought a new Mac with little research-(double intel processor) to speed up a 1g G4 that was under seige.
Damn thing runs CS2 slower than the old one.
Now the sunshine she had has been replaced by a huge bug.
    Woe is me!

Oh... can anyone recommend good mac data recovery software. We
    have a problem.

    Golden ******** shovels...

Ah but moments before Tonto with his ear to the ground warned:
"Many Indians come here..." Shucks, Tonto - The LR said - how do you know ?
    "Ground very sticky...."

Probably too late a reply Roly - but get onto the Apple/Mac help desk (via web) and shout the hell out of them... They usually come to heel.
What are you running ? 'Leopard - Panther? What'. Failing that did a load of Mac Disc tools come with the set - run them through a couple of times; bin any junk (games and ****) that aren't actually essential and finally key into Apple Technical Services.
    :(
