I am doing a swap on my '76 reinell and was wondering if anyone knew where I could get a maintenance manual or something that would help me along the way. I've never done a swap on a boat before and would love any helpful hints. Thanks!

Both Chilton and Haynes make manuals. What are you swapping?

I'm swapping a chevy 350. It's essentially a straight swap but the guy that had the boat before has done some weird stuff with wiring and I have no idea how to detach the outdrive from the motor.

    Is it an OMC?

It is a Volvo Penta outdrive and as far as I know the motor is original. The starter went out and is rusted on. I got the new 350 from a marine shop that had a customer flake on putting it into his boat so I just decided to drop it in mine instead of messing with an old rusty motor.
