    Vega, I stand corrected but still beautiful .... as for that plastic spider thing? as I said each to his own, but tha't not even a boat! There again if the English can put a pile of bricks in an art exhibition and make a fortune whos to say! Just don't ask me, you might not like the answer - and it wouldn't be polite either.

    Guillermo, nice looking traditional style, safe and functional vessel! Yes I'd say that is definitely beautiful!

    I'm with you on Leo's candidate, S.W. Wild & wacky, yes.... beautiful no. Surprising coming from an Aussie. In general the Aussies do a better job of designing attractive catamarans (a challenge!) than anyone else. So why is Leo so enamoured of the ugly American?

    Oseberg and Gokstad viking ships

    Osebergskipet was probably made for ceremonies, maybe recreation(?) while Gokstadskipet looks more like a working boat?

    I guess you are right, the right word is Exciting, but I guess that the boat looks like an oversized racing dinghy.:p

    But how about this one, it looks like a boat to me, and a nice one ;) (The "Oceanic-One", the monotype for the 2009 Solo Ocean race).
