What ever happened to this form of construction?

Would seem stiffer and with no problem welds in an aluminum boat.

Riveting is noisy but low tech, cheap strong and simple.

Alive again, resurrected from the 20's; Lulworth, what a beauty.

On the Lulworth web page, don’t miss these videos:

    “Royal Cowes in the 20’s”

    “Argentario Classic week-2006”

I'd nominate this one for "pretty darn nice."

Ahhhh - I remember her when she was the home of the old fellow that owned her (obviously) , Endeavour, and Velsheda. This would have bee naround 1966/7, and he did NOT want to sell any of them. A few years of living in Hamble kept me in touch in the late 70's, when she her restoration was being done one plank at a time as the owners could afford them.
    She was lovely even then.

That is Naga Pelangi right ? Jack had the experience of sailing that boat. That boat was build by G'anu master boat builders Haji Abdullah Muda. Had you visited the second Naga Pelangi ? Still under construction. Build by Hassang at Duyong. Just by the side of the big bridge.
