Taping into keel cooler?

Is it common to tap into the keel cooler to also cool engine and/or transmission oil coolers? If so what seperation of intake/return fittings are needed? Do you intake befor cool coolent enters the engine and return it downstream past the engine hot return?
Wiuld a seperate circulating pump interfear with the engine pump?

To keep with the simplicity and reliability the usual is to keel cool EACH item will get there OWN cooler.

However if you look at how a boat is cooled with sea water , with a heat exchanger for the tranny , it should be useable for you.

In other words the engine coolant will use a simple heat exchanger to cool the tranny , and the engine cooling from its keel cooler will just work a bit harder.

NOT OK if youre doing air cond or hold sized refrigeration , there a seperate keel cooler is needed.

The water leaving an engine is cool enough to additionally cool a transmission.

Thanks. I forgot but yoi are right. I meant using the engine coolent to circulate through "heat exchangers" for the auxillary units.
