    My money says camera or instrument boat for something, maybe a movie prop?. The hulls are inflatable and she carries a bail-out boat. Also a Florida (?) registration.

    What you going to rescue with that? Looks like one of these Navy Experimental craft - all navies have them (maybe not like this) used for "big boys toys" cost a fortune, are absolutely useless but who cares the goverment is paying (for goverment read taxpayer - you and me depending on country of course):mad:

    Tell you one thing, bet it goes like the proverbial "sh** off a shovel" to use a British expression!:D

    Well it looks like someone has worked out boat stability. The suspension system looks like it could move to hold the cabin steady. Or Q has made another craft for James Bond.

    The spring suspension is interesting as well as the rest of the thing. Maybe a crane/lift but no sign of lifting mechanism. The hills in background, along with the flag, say Southern California. The aft end of the pontoons look to have been modified and what are those things sticking up back there? The pod may be moved vertically since it seems to be suspended. 1st guess, photo platform to take movies while suspended just above the water from a stable platform without disturbing the area with a hull. 2nd guess, Mother ship for a submersible.

    All probably wrong.

    Concord CA is on the stern of one sail boat.
    Looks darn expensive, carbon springs? is the “cockpit” a boat that can be lowered down?

    dont think its a movie production boat ,they just use a work boat and mount a crane on it, i work in the movie industry we did titanic and they just used a russian research boat and droped a crane on it , i dont see any camera mounts or crane boom
