sterndrive tunnels in buoyant swimplatform?

    plan is trying to level the boat with a seamless buoyant swimplatform. started wonderering about the drives though, they not only come forward from the new stern they need tunnels, new cg etc, tabs aft and more, big project i allready see. any ideas?

    Someone did a similar thing to a local boat a few years back. Essentially a float on either side of the leg, with a platform over the top. That particular boat plane's at lower speed and maintains lower trim angles. For them it was a success.

    What if the float(s) were raised slightly from the running surface. Tabs could then be fitted under them, so trimming is still possible. This would give at rest buoyancy, but not effect performance....

    All good ideas! And the sample you give was a succes! The plan even sounds better simplifyd, still a major job i recon while low on euro's... thanks for the drawing too, that perfectly explains the trimtab idea.
