    Hi, friends,

I have a problem now, i bought a second-hand Maxsurf package recently, but most of them are 'protected', when i install them, it shows 'copy protection...'
how can i solve the problem and use it.

The software is most likely protected with a "dongle" or hardware key which should be plugged into your computers printer port (sometimes it comes as an USB version). Without this piece of hardware the program does not run. So make sure you get this from whoever sold you the software.

Email Formation designs and tell them from whom you bought it so they can check the seller really has given up using his copy. They might then sort you out with a 'key' that you use to install from the original CD's.

Oops. If you didn't get the original CDs, I'd be suspicious that you're the victim of a software pirate. Mailing CDs, even across the world, is pretty cheap compared to what you probably paid for the software. Talk to Formation and see if they can help you sort it out.

Buy original, it is worth the cost but even better get a student discount.! Most retailer will give big slash discount to Westlawn and Landing schools.

the owner of the programme was damn blunt to me, like"read the manual" after I,d read and reread, what these gurus do not seem to realise is, that the manuals are only of assistance to fluent cad users

Maxsurf is copy protected using a USB dongle, if the seller did not supply this to you then he hasn't sold you the complete package.
