What Should A Naval Engineering Student Do?

    I am majoring naval engineering at ITU in Istanbul/Turkey. I have just started the that program and i wonder what to do in my boring starting years, to become a good engineer. By the way, if you know about the possibilities of studying at different universities i will be glad (out of erasmus) . Thanks for suggestions.

    Get involved in your technical societies, and look into organizations like Engineers Without Borders (the US chapter is www.EWB-USA.org) and other charitable and similar work where you can use your technical talent, such as helping tutor younger kids.

    Try to learn any good surface modling program, this will help u
