Will a 15hp plane it with 300lbs of me and my wife?

    think big !!

    To me its the perfect size for a twin cylinder 50 hp !! fiftys can have all the goodies of the bigger motors ! HD gear case ! trim and tilt ! electric start !will usually idle all day and a then kick it in the pants to get you home at a good turn of speed before dark . and could have a decent charging cappacity for lights etc etc and they not to heavy .

    Underpowering you will always wish you had more ! smaller motors work there guts out the moment you put it in get its struggling for ever and ever more and with struggle comes fuel comsumption and break downs from over work .
    Is better to use a bigger motor doing a small amount of work and only part of its hp and have some up your sleeve for when you relly need it !:p:):p

    What is the length of the boat and the width of the transom?
