What kind of paint on the interior?

The interior has been painted with a latex paint before. I have sanded all the area very good.
...but paint what shall I use this time? I'm not a huge fan av the latex....but going alkyd oil based, yeah than I have yellowing to think of....and polyurethane 2 comp...well, that might not stick to the surface very good? What kind of paint would you put on? It's from hip height and down...

 

I prefer water based acrylic paint for bathrooms. It is moisture and mildew resistant.

 

Glossy if it's a dark area.

 

Alkyd over acrylic is not a good idea, re-do it with a washable acrylic.

 

Sounds like I should go with water based acrylic
Do you think the result would be much different if I use an air-conditioner to keep the temp low? ...cause its about 30C + here in the tropics.

 

Just thin the paint sparingly with water, till it brushes freely. A good idea is to dampen the brush right up into the stock, not too wet though, before use, which helps prevent "clagging" of the brush, and make the clean-up of your brush easier.
