Great work Eric!!! I was amazed with your last boat and how fast you were able to build it. Can't wait for more pics.

    In the water !!

No numbers yet, the old 115 drop me after 20mn of testing :(
I am waiting the fuel meter from Boatbandits.
The 17" prop is to short (top speed is 27 knots).
She seems to be very appy in the 18/20 knots range.
The 2 hp pull her at 4 Knots.

The only design flaw I see is that there is no safe area for the bow babe!

    Otherwise, very coooool!

    Congratulations Eric
Whats the step in the deck/gunwale all about midway between the bow and cabin?

    step in the deck/gunwale

It is a foot steep to come abord in low water, it also help to drop the anchor.
For fun I painted black like it was a gas turbine exhaust.

I just think it's fabulous that there are peole out there who are prepared to be adventurous in their design / build. At the end of the day, recreational boating is all about having fun - and you only have to take one look at Eric's avataar to see that he's certainly doing that!!:D

I recognised your location from the pics, Eric... I spent a few days in Noumea last year aboard the 37 metre superyacht "Tango". It's an interesting place.....

It's certainly a great looking boat. I look forward to seeing the performance characteristics.

(Eric's avatar would be better if the hat had corks on strings around the brim!)

Doing a big tidy up so throwing a lot of magazines out, scanning the good bits and just came across this one from Robin Chamberlin.
Thought they may be of interest.

"The 2 hp pull her at 4 Knots".

I know you are after a craft that will get you to destination safely and quickly so you are not thinking of going slower with less power. I wonder if this design would also work for a solar/wind electric propulsion?

Can you give us some photos of the interior?
