Hi, I wonder if anyone can help me. I have a 8.5 metre, 40 year old sailboat which I am in the process of fixing up. I am sorting out the sparlight roller reefing boom at the moment. My first question is does anyone know where I can get maintenance information for the boom, and second question is does anyone know the best way to lubricate the system? I have just taken off the end plate at the stern end of the boom and it seems to have a hard plastic static bearing to allow for the rolling. There is evidence of grease. Any thoughts gratefully received. Thank you.

Did a google, this guy posted in 2012 on a british sailing forum, seem to be happy with his Sparlight. He may be able to help you out.
