PVC plywood?

I was looking for some opinions on using PVC plywood in place of marine plywood for a stitch and glue 15ft Gravey. I like the idea of the PVC being rot proof but question the stiffness and ability to make a good bond with fiberglass and epoxy. I have used this for an awning with good results by roughing up the PVC with 60 grit sand paper. However the awning does not get much movement and I’m not sure if I will get adequate stiffness and bond for the hull of a planning boat. Has anyone tried PVC plywood for this purpose?

Like Mr E, I am also behind the times and am intrigued as to what PVC plywood is?

I have used 3/4" thick foam board that has a thin PVC laminate on each side (the kind that you might build kitchen cabinets with) to build a wheelchair ramp for a friend - I sheathed the topside with stitchmat and epoxy after sanding it first, and it has held up well now for almost 10 years, after being subjected to much abuse during this time.

 

So this is what I’m calling PVC plywood. Maybe I’m not calling it the right material.

My advice would be to apply a highly technical test, buy a sheet of it, and a sheet of ply of the same weight, and compare the properties by supporting at both ends, and walk on them. Wear shoes !
