Please help identify a boat

    Hi, can anybody identify this boat, and advise which size of outboards would be suitable please? It is 16ft long, acquired as a fix-up project. Thanks.

    Can you provide the width across the transom and the length of the boat?

    It looks like a lot of 1960s' and early 70s' small fishing type boats. It ought to have a build plate on it somewhere even if under paint. This would give weight capacity and HP limit. You'll know it's fairly old as all the figures will be in Pounds not Kg....;) Be worth some serious prodding on the transom to ensure it can take a modern outboard without tearing out a rotten core.

    Here's a link to a database of UK builders some are historic so you might find it. It could just be some local, say South Coast builder just making a few and packing up.
