Planning a hard top cockpit enclosure

    We are in the planning stages of building a hard top cockpit enclosure to go on our Schucker 444 sailboat. Any and all assistance would be greatly appreciated as far as materials, sources, books, etc. I am not a novice when it comes to construction or design, but in terms of boats building I am (can't just frame up a wall with 2x4's in this case!).

    Barry, As you are a builder, do not be afraid of the project , it is simplier than you think.
    Could you give me an approximate lxw of the cover and how thick you would like it to be.

    re the hard dodger project, Did I get that right or was it a full cockpit cover any how You might like to look at my blog Iv made several composite dodgers and theres a bunch of dodgers on there to look at and maybe get some Ideas from
