Friends of mine have been building their 12m home designed catamaran for some time. Sadly they have had to abandon the project due to ill health.

I quote: "The part-built catamaran is in a small French village near St Savinien-sur-Charente in Charente Maritime - about 60km south-east of La Rochelle and 24km north of Saintes. I think so far it must have cost us about GBP10,000 at least, probably nearer GBP15,000. So far the lower hulls (cedar strip, glass and epoxy) and all the bulkheads (foam/glass/epoxy sandwich) have been completed. The steering gear and daggerboards are also complete. There is enough foam to finish most of the construction, and epoxy and glass too, I think. There are various rolls of plastic, with and without holes for the vacuuming process. All offers considered"

If you would like to take on this project please contact Jenny Elmes in the UK at jelmesATtalktalk.net

Please don't email me about it, you know as much as I do. I am just the messenger

    Thank you very much
