Painting over acrylic urethane

I found some teraGRIP it is a water based, single component, acrylic urethane copolymere with an aggregate of recycled rubber crumb for a good price.The color is not very nice and i only plan to use on the inside seams of the floor for its high hide and grip.Its a small boat,i then plan on painting the whole inside one color over the teragrip.

Does it matter what kind water/oil of paint i apply over it?Looking more for durability.

 

It will not dissolve, so you can use any paint you want. But the "teragrip" is flexible, if the topcoat isn't, it is bound to crack.
