need info on saftey capsules

    anyone got the scope for the materials lay up schedules etc
    apba needs a 4000 newton number
    i got to build one
    i was thinking 3/4 24 lb penski board with kevlar and carbon fiber
    as for the steel cage i dont know if i need that in the outboard classes

    This is 05 spec for OPC, May have changed so this may be outdated. 3/4 skinmatt, 2x 9-10oz carbon,2x 6-8oz kevlar,15mm or 5/8 core, 2x 9-10oz carbon, 1x 6-8oz kevlar. I would check with APBA. Steel cage is only needed in IHBA drag boats that run quicker than 7.70 ET, but check with the org. you would race with. I would try to find a manufacture that builds outboard capsules. Seebold, Grand prix, Lee boats, They may be able to help you with what you need. Remember your strapping yourself in so take your time to get it right. Hope this helps.

    yes sir i just got a reply from apba today
    they are sending me the lay up schedules
    they basicly said what you said
