Hi fellas, I am trying to get my head around some of the features. I think I am inputting layer density properly by going into layers dialog and inputting density and thickness for each strake

I am trying to mimic a a 100kg weight on the transom so set the transom density to 20 which gives me a result of 100kg transom weight

But when I run design hydrostatics I do not see any change from the one with the regular transom

Which figure should I be looking at? Is there another way of doing it?

Perhaps I do not understand well but hydrostatic values do not depend on the weight of the boat.

When you run the design hydrostatic function in freeship it spits out a sheet of results. There are lines for COG and buoyancy in that. But none of that changes with the 100kg difference between two different transom densities

None of the hydrostatic values, has nothing to do with the position of the CoG. So my advice is to forget the lines that refer to the CoG. In any case, this data should be entered manually by the user because the program has no way to calculate it.
Then, hydrostatic values are independent of the ship or transom weight. Therefore, they will not change even if the transom weighs 200 tons.
The position of the CoG can only serve to calculate the value of GM. This, for an existing ship, may be of some use. In a new project, in which neither the weight nor its CoG are known, it makes little sense.
