    hi all. I have a question about longitudinal strength. in my project, I must calculate max hogging on the situation of top of a wave.
    L=115 m
    Displacement=10000 ton
    According to my calculates; max hogging is about 1,15 cm. Do you think this result is normal or anormal?

    It all depends...
    Generally, 1.15 cm for 115m hull sound too small. A military ship of similar dimensions with slender hull could have as much as ~400mm of hogging in still water.

    Please note, that amount of hogging is rarely interesting for anyone. Generally, stresses in the structure are controlled.
