"Life Tender" as an alternative to life raft

    use a plastic SOT kayak as wave-breaker.

    Another reason I'd want a "life-tender" is you will be familiar with your tender and able to operate it in the dark or when "multitasking". Not so with some life-raft you've never seen before that is self-inflating out of canister.
