    Hello all,

The boat was built by Renato Sonny Levi in 1970.
Some time ago I saw this boat on a group on facebook, so I decided to do the design, it's not been easy because of the lack of information but I can deal with it. It's not my first. I already know there exists one model here in the forum. The work at this moment is tweaked here and there in the lines until everything makes sense.

What do you mean, "do the design" ? You intend to build one ? Are no plans accessible ? Years ago I had a book by Levi with a lot of lines drawings of his boats, but don't recall that one being in it. The thing I recall is that he was fond of slightly convex sections throughout, a device I think he explained as an aid to getting a stiffer structure.

That must be his iconic work 'Dhows to Deltas' - what happened to your copy Mr E?
I hope that you do still have it somewhere - I remember even 30 years ago it was very rare, and much sought after - one of my jobs in the design office I worked in then was to photocopy the whole book so that the office could have a file copy, as it was not then possible to buy a 2nd hand copy (but my Boss managed to borrow one temporarily).
Now they are selling for sums in the region of US$ 500 on Amazon -

Amazon also have his book 'Milestones in my designs' for a mere US$ 368 -

I may still have it buried away somewhere, and I think I was "Dhows to Deltas" too. Surprised to hear it is worth that much. Probably from the late 1970's. Thanks for the tip !

When I say do the design it's my design through the information that I can find, as I know and for my research I can find any plans or part of it. After the accident the boat in 1972 it was dismantled
My idea is after I finish the design build a rc model.
When I do the research I found that I have at least one book that talks about this boat. I don't know if it is all book or partial, but I would like to read it too, big problem if I can say the price I can reach.

I have a lot of old stuff packed away in cardboard boxes. I had a look in some of the more accessible ones, but could not find the book, however I do not recall seeing the lines plan of that boat, or recall the name, when I read it many years ago. And my memory is reasonably good. I think the step would have drawn my attention. There were a few boats where multi-conic development was shown, but as I mentioned, a lot of boats I saw were designed not with straight sections anywhere, but convexity that "softened" the transition from bottom to topsides. These were designed for cold-moulding veneer, and the shape was to get stiffness. I never saw any hollow flared bows, either.

This boat was built with fiber and carbon fiber in 1971, for the time top material, he had two tanks forward one for fuel and another for ballast.
I have another model similar to this one from another time around 1940 also a prototype boat too.
Some progress the lines are in the position that I want but need more work because the surfaces are not quite fluid.

The other model that I talk about, a concave hull.

    Hello all,

I need help with my boat design, I would like to know your opinion, I found the picture on the image and I see a step between the deck and the seam, I draw the deck the step and the seam, but the opposite side I draw the starboard and the seam without the step. This is right the manner I did it?

    Hello all,

I have been working to adjust and refine the lines. I work in a full size model. The need to move a line sometimes is very small, here is the proof.

    Hello all,

First lines of the spray rail have a lot of work needed to do. The lines between the hull and starboard are done and straight. Dart 38 017.jpg

Thank you, as you know the information about this boat it is almost none, until I can find some more information it will stay as it is, later if I find or a drawing or something else, I perform the changes.
