Information about the sea chest system

    My experience, if you only have 2 systems (main engine, genset) a sea chest is probably excessive and a waste of resources... and space: let each engine have it's own piping, it will not weaken the hull. But if you have multiple systems (engine, genset, a/c, fire pump, etc) a sea chest is worth a look.
    You can google sea chest and get lots of info. & illustrations.
