Handling Man Overboard situations, how did you go?

    Mustang eh, Ok I might have been looking at the wrong one but it looks like its about $3~400, which is completely doable, I'd need 6 so about 2k, as well as the sling as standard on board safety equip, among other things. I don't see where 2k is all that bad for something like that. Hell I've even looked at the survival suits

    so how come spinlock is illegal ?

    Not USCG approved. If Ameericans carry spinlock onboard , they must also carry a set of USCG approved vests.

    OK I'm off to go pick up some duck legs for that roast over on the galley thread. Going to try a crispy roast duck in the smoke oven.

    I have no idea.......suspect the USCG ...err emm homeland security....is so busy looking for bad guys in boats that they don't have time to approve.

    It is not illegal to own them, but they don't comply with the one PFD per person rule.
