Engine Bolt Up??

    i have a 1994 mercruiser 3.0 and it is basically shot, a guy told me that he has a mercruiser 170 but i dont know anything about inboards so can someone tell me what will have the same bolt patterns as my 3.0? like what can i put in its place that will bolt up with out replacing everything. thanks kenny

    I don't know if it will, as "newer" Mercs are labeled as Alpha or Bravo, 1 or 2. You need to post this question in the STERNDIRVE section, as that's what you have- an I/O inboard/outboard, or otherwise known as a sterndrive, not an inboard. Good luck, and remember, there's always ebay!

    The rear mounts are the same. The 170 is longer and has a different location for the front mount.
