Does ray marine wi fish need a internet acess to work?

where initial test was preformed there wasn't internet acess.

I have DL wifish app from RM powered the control box
However my android 5.1 tablet doesn’t recognize the sounder.

Must the transducer be submerged in water to establish connectivity
w/ android? If yes will a bucket of water be enough?

This fishfinder is holding me from crusieing the GOM.

edit: what do Guys think about transducer location? I'm planning a Honda 9.9 kicker located on starboard side, will relocate lower section of ladder incorporated into platefoam.
will the trim tab obstruct the Honda?

edit when I click available networks I didn't see wifish

    Thanks TB

Initialley when powered (just connected to battery) the wifish came on on it’s own, the four blue lines start alternateing flashing w/ other orange LED. It’s not a fuse because the WF powers up.

I attach three images in previous post.they went unpublished.

When I had both WF and android powered clicked
    Setting
    Wifi
Didn’t see WF did see the neibhbors wifi spot
So I’ve never had connectivity is this the point of installation that requires a internet acess?

Like doe’s it take a internet acess to execute Wi-Fish mobile app?

And from then on no intenet acess is required?

Because my boat is stored away from my house and there isn’t any internet acess at storage area.

BTW I think I remember receiving four smallish labels they had UPC codes.

Since I have the WF red to 12VDC/blk. Ground grey ground
Shouldn’t I see asome sonar image on android (I see nothing).

    Thanks for surport.

Go to your tablet, go to Settings and WIFI.

Can you see the raymarine under available WIFI networks?
