Can you accurtly set deadrise angle?

 

good question, so far my best solution is to use rotate stern lines in degree's, its also possible to check deadrise with 3d acrobat tools, i started with a geo triangle tho and like to hear better way's

 

i thought of a protractor in the background but there has to be a better way

I would think that an Excel guru could come up with a spread sheet calculator for it. All you really need is the Y and Z coords for the bottom and chine or chine area control curve point plus the centerline coord to give a 90 deg angle then calc the angle from bottom to chine-ish. Trouble is I forget the formulas to do it.

 

You could rotate the whole hull about the longitudinal axis by the deadrise angle. Then set the height of control points to the same value. Might seem drastic but it is only a few dots on a screen.
