Hello. I'm Brian from CT. When I used to land survey, we used a G3 with an electric motor, a marine battery, just tooling around locating docks. but the thing went fast enough for me. So a few years ago, I bought a 10 foot G3 because it fit in my truck. I have this 400 acre lake at the top of the world in CT, and I am tired of oaring. I just bought and they delivered my battery and my motor (minn kota, I believe.) anyway, 34 lbs of thrust. Haven't had a chance to drive upstate and try it. Boat says it can handle 3 HP outboard max. I read a thread with the math, but just wondering if anyone else uses a 'trolling motor' to tool around in their tiny boat.

I am bringing the oars. Wonder how long a charge will last? It is a deep cycle/and starter battery in one. Well, only way to find out is take the fishing pole and give it a try. Bought it at Cabelas in the mail, came in about 2 days.

    Thanks for any comments.
