Best aluminium alloy for the masts

    i have tried several times to explain to fallguy his beams are not going to dissolve like he thinks. i keep telling him my boat was moored for years in salt water with unpainted beams and they show no corrosion .

    I don't pay tons of attention to anecdote. The sockets themselves might be vastly different; for example.

    I am a boat lover, though. What boat do you speak of?

    Also, the OP asked about alloys. I can't even tell from the Sparcraft website what alloys they use. I thought at one point I knew what I had.
